Comprehensive primary care health services in Princeton
When it comes to your family, we believe in providing a comprehensive range of preventative and primary health services. Every child enrolled in Medicaid should receive Early & Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, & Treatment (EPSDT) services until they are 21 years of age.
About the program
The EPSDT program provides a wide range of services to ensure the absolute best care for your child. These services include periodic and comprehensive health examinations, vision testing, hearing assessments, dental check-ups, immunizations, and all treatments and follow-ups for conditions found during the health examinations.

Regular exams
In order to provide the absolute best health services for your child, you should bring them in for regular EPSDT check-ups. These appointments are necessary, even when your child is feeling well, to ensure their optimum health. Examinations should take place at 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, and then every year until they are 21 years old.
What to expect
Your child's exam will be given by your doctor, a physician assistant, or a nurse practitioner. They will check the overall physical condition of your child to ensure they are growing well. A thorough check of their ears, eyes, and diet is also included, as well as childhood immunizations and lab tests, such as hemoglobin, urine, TB test (if needed), and blood lead screening.
